SUMMARY:Artificial Intelligence Tools: Responsible Use and Applications in
 Research and Academia
DESCRIPTION:Content description\n\nThe rapid emergence of Artificial Intell
igence (AI)-based tools has the potential to change the way researchers wo
rk in academia. However\, the power and potential of AI tools\, particular
ly generative AI\, also present challenges\, such as confusion regarding t
heir responsible and ethical use and a lack of proper training for integra
ting them into research workflows. Addressing these challenges is crucial
to ensure that researchers can fully explore the potential of AI while mai
ntaining high ethical standards.\nThis workshop provides a hands-on learni
ng experience with a focus on a wider variety of AI tools\, their ethical
implications and their practical applications. The aim is to facilitate th
e responsible and efficient use of AI tools in research and academia.\n\nL
earning objectives\n- At the end of the workshop\, participants will be ab
le to:\n- Understand the importance of using AI in research and academia a
nd assess the benefits and risks involved\n-Craft effective prompts for th
eir research tasks\n- Develop strategies to integrate AI tools into their
research workflow\n- Stay informed about and adapt to new developments in
the field of AI\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nIncluded topics\n- Introduction to AI with a
focus on generative AI\n- Ethical considerations and responsible use (e.g
. data privacy\, address biases\, best practices)\n- Guidelines from major
journals and institutions on using AI tools in research and academia\n- C

posal and conference presentation support\n--&gt\;Brainstorming research h
 ypotheses\n--&gt\;Preparing for defence or interviews\n--&gt\;Developing t
raining material\n- Broader benefits and limitations of implementing AI to
ols in research and academia\n- Future developments and possibilities\n\nD
