GADEST 20/24

The 20th Conference on Gettering and Defect Engineering in Semiconductor Technology (GADEST) was held in Bad Schandau (Saxony, Germany) from September 8 to 13, 2024.

We would like to thank all the participants for their active involvement in the conference. It was due to your activity and interest that the conference was successful. We learned a lot and enjoyed the conference very much. We hope that you were also satisfied with the scientific content, interesting discussions, information from specialists, and friendly atmosphere. We hope that we maintained the “GADEST family” style of the conference and you will be interested in attending future GADEST events.

We took some photos during the conference. You can view and download both photos and abstract booklet until the end of 2024 from here, if you like. The password was sent to you by email recently. Please keep in mind the privacy policy: do not upload any of the photos to open access locations without the consent of persons in the photo frame.

The location of the next GADEST conference is not yet determined. As soon as this is decided, the information will be placed at the general GADEST webpage: https://www.gadest.org/index.php.

We wish you all the best and we are looking forward to meeting you at the next GADEST,

your GADEST 2024 team

Scope and Style

Since 1985, the GADEST (Gettering and Defect Engineering in Semiconductor Technology) conference series provides a forum for experts in the field of semiconductor technology, semiconductor device physics and defect physics. Focussing on applied research, an important goal of the GADEST conferences is to bring together academics and industry. The spirit of the GADEST conference series is to establish an atmosphere which allows for close discussions and interactions among participants.

The GADEST conference is devoted to semiconductor defect physics, materials science and device technology and focuses on both fundamental as well as technological aspects of defects, growth, processing and modelling of electronic materials and devices, ranging from microelectronics to photovoltaics.
