Bad Schandau is a charming health resort in the beautiful Saxon Switzerland region. The impressing landscape offers a plethora of versatile hiking trips and great viewpoints. The hotel is located directly at the Elbe river and right next to the thermal bath Toskana Therme Bad Schandau.

Reservation
The GADEST-20 steering committee has reserved a limited number of rooms at the “Hotel Elbresidenz an der Therme Bad Schandau” from September 08 (check-in) until September 13 (check-out), 2024. The required link and promotion code will be provided after conference registration.
For registered GADEST participants, a 20% discount will be applied on the reservation fee. The hotel offers 120 double rooms and 13 single rooms for GADEST participants.

Arrival
By car you can reach the venue via the A17 motorway exit “Pirna/ Bad Schandau”. Then follow the road B172 for approx. 20 km towards direction Bad Schandau. You can park your car free of charge directly near the Elbe river below the hotel. Alternatively, you can use the garage of the hotel (fees apply) or one of the various parking possibilities in the city.
By train you can reach Bad Schandau via the Bad Schandau National Park Station. The ECs of the Hamburg-Berlin-Prague line stop here four times a day. There is a semi-hour train connection to Dresden. The approximate travel time from Berlin airport is 2.5 h, from Prague airport 3 h and from Dresden airport 1.5 h. If you arrive by train, you have to cross the Elbe river to get to the hotel. You can do this either by walking across the bridge (about 30 min) or by taking a bus or a ferry.
