„Stories without borders“ – Essays, Stories, Poems on Migration & Culture & Interculture in English language with Anant Kumar on 30 October 2014, starting 7 PM at the Library („Universitätsbibliothek“) in „Agricolasaal“.

Kumar’s literary works make imaginative and colourful connections between German and Indian culture and talk about his experiences as a writer of Indian descent who lives and works in Germany. His observations are beautifully poetic but rarely without fine satire and irony.

Anant Kumar (Kassel, Germany) was born in the North Eastern Indian State Bihar. He learned German as a Foreign Language in New Delhi before he came to Germany in 1991 to study German literature and linguistics.

He has been living in Kassel and has published 17 books of prose and poetry. He is a member of the Association of German Authors and Literary Society of Hessen and has been awarded numerous prestigious prizes.

The reading will be held in English language.
