Information on obtaining the initial password for students

We have extended the opening hours at the student office (Akademiestraße 6) for personal collection. You will receive your initial password upon presentation of your student ID.

Pick up in the student office

We have extended the opening hours in the student office (Akademiestraße 6) for personal pick-up. You will receive your initial password upon presentation of your student ID.
Opening hours:

Mon-Thurs: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Fr: 9:00 – 12:00 (or by appointment)

Postal delivery

Would you like to have the information about the initial password sent to your address? Please contact the student office by e-mail: .

We need the following information to send it to you:

  • Full first and last name
  • Matriculation number
  • Date of birth
  • Scanned student ID and
  • Postal address to which the initial password should be sent.

For students abroad

Students who are not in Germany will be given the opportunity to receive the initial password via video conference (with camera and student ID) after the internet has been restored at the university administration.
