We start into the fourth event of our five-part series “Global and development issues in resource justice”. This lecture is about the topic: “Digital Transformation in Countries of the Global South” and will take place on 07.06. at 19.45 Online. Digitalization has its advantages. There are many social and economic benefits of digital technologies that are widely known and well documented. But there are also environmental and climate-related aspects of digitization that are more nuanced and less widely discussed. What are the drivers and challenges, trade-offs and opportunities that digital technologies bring, especially for rapidly digitizing economies like India?
