Towards cleaner energy transition, assessing Africa’s level of participation towards net-zero emission

Even though Africa contributes nearly 4 % of global carbon emissions representing about 1.45 billion tonnes, it is the continent most vulnerable to climate change-related disasters. Come to our webinar and explore a journey towards sustainable energy that will revolutionize your experience. We shall explore Africa’s dynamic role in the global shift towards renewable energy. Specifically, we will reflect on whether Africa is largely supplying raw materials to countries outside the continent to advance their efforts in clean energy transition or whether countries in Africa are implementing strategic projects to mitigate climate impacts. We will reflect on instances of the continent’s success stories, such as Morocco’s creative solar energy projects, Ethiopia’s dedication to hydropower, Nigeria’s advancements in wind energy, and Ghana’s recent lithium ore find. The goals of this event are to promote cooperation, and knowledge sharing, and set the path for a more promising and environmentally sustainable future. Join the discussion to help create a more resilient and sustainable world by accelerating Africa’s transition to cleaner energy production and climate change mitigation.
