Career training for international students and graduates

You are currently studying in Germany and are interested in job opportunities in Germany? You are looking for an internship position and want to find out more about how to apply for an internship or a job?

You are invited to discuss your career options in Germany in a two-day career training. During the first workshop on May 17, you get started on your career in Germany and prepare your application documents. During the second workshop on June 14, you will focus on how to succeed in a job interview and get to know the most relevant job interview questions. You are also introduced to Assessment Centers.

You are welcome to participate in only one of the workshops or both of them. The career training is offered by International Center & Career Center

Part 1: „Internships and Jobs in Germany. Getting started. Self analysis, reserach strategies and how to write a meaningful application“

During this workshop you get started on your career in Germany and prepare your application documents:

  • Assess your personal and professional competencies and develop a career strategy
  • Find out what career profiles are highly appreciated by German employers, and what personal and professional qualifications they expect
  • Learn how to write meaningful application documents: The CV and the cover letter
  • Find out the specifics of researching for internship offers and the application process

The number of participants is limited and a registration is required.

Part 2:„The road to success. Job interviews and Assessment Centers“

During this workshop you will focus on how to succeed in a job interview and get to know the most relevant job interview questions. You are also introduced to Assessment Centers:

  • Typical job interview situations and job interview questions
  • Role play of job interviews
  • Specifics of work contracts in Germany: internships, part-time jobs and full-time jobs
  • Things to know about Assessment Centers
  • Excercises and role plays

The number of participants is limited and a registration is required.
