Mental training for a healthy mind – Spotlight training series

This training series covers stress management, overcoming fears, finding groups and contacts, settling in at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg

Content in details: current burdens and stressors, resilience and social support, personal challenges and resources, change of perspective (influence of upbringing, cultural background, evaluation), coping strategies/methods to build self-efficacy, optimism, confidence, mindfulness; peer group (what is this, advantages, possibilities, areas of application), forming and testing different peer groups

6 workshops for international and local students
recurring and binding participation in all 6 workshops is recommended

The sessions take place online on Tuesdays from 05:30 p.m. to 07:00 p.m. via Zoom.

03 May – Stress and its effects
10 May – Mental stress competence
17 May – Protect yourself from stress
24 May – Peergroup Meeting
31 May – Instrumental stress competence
07 June – Regenerative stress competence

Lecturer
Suzanne Jones is a graduate psychologist, certified systemic advisor and therapist.
Since 2012 she is working as a freelancing trainer and she lives in Berlin. Her working focus lies on health promotion and stress prevention. The portfolio includes seminars und workshops on the topics of resilience, communication, healthy leadership, personality development as well as corporate health management.

DEUTSCH: Vorrangiges Ziel des Studienabschluss-Stipendiums ist es, internationalen Studierenden, die ohne eigenes Verschulden in Not geraten sind, durch finanzielle Unterstützung den Studienabschluss zu erleichtern. Die Voraussetzungen für eine Förderung mit dem Stipendiums sind gute Leistungen und ein Studienabschluss innerhalb von ca. 9 Monaten.

ENGLISH: The primary aim of the study completion grant is to facilitate the graduation of international students who are in financial need through no fault of their own by providing financial support. A requirement for support with the scholarship is good performance and completion of studies within approx. 9 months.

Kultur verbindet, Gespräche vereinen – 11.02., 16 Uhr, Obermarkt

DEUTSCH:

Am Freitag, 11. Februar 2022, um 16 Uhr veranstaltet die Stadtverwaltung Freiberg gemeinsam mit der TU Bergakademie Freiberg auf dem Obermarkt die Mitmach-Aktion „Kultur verbindet, Gespräche vereinen“.

Jeder ist eingeladen, sich an Gesprächen an Stehtischen zu beteiligen. Lernen Sie andere Freibergerinnen und Freiberger kennen und sprechen Sie mit ihnen.

An einer langen Stehwand können Sie Ihre Meinung zu den Themen „Was stört Sie?“ und „Was wünschen Sie?“ anpinnen.

900 Kärtchen liegen bereit, um ein Meinungsbild der Stadt zusammenzutragen.

Es wird kurze Redebeiträge und Kulturbeiträge von Musiker*innen der Mittelsächsischen Philharmonie, dem Bergmusikkorps Saxonia Freiberg und den Freiberger Bergsängern geben.

On Friday, 11 February 2022, at 4 p.m., the Freiberg City Council, together with the TU Bergakademie Freiberg, is organising the participatory action „Culture connects, conversations unite“ on the Obermarkt.

Everyone is invited to join in conversations at bar tables. Get to know other Freibergers and talk to them.

You can pin your opinion on the topics „What bothers you?“ and „What do you want?“ on a long standing wall.

900 cards are available to gather an opinion of the city.

There will be short speeches and cultural contributions from Musicians of the „Mittelsächsische Philharmonie“, the „Bergmusikkorps Saxonia Freiberg“ and from the „Freiberger Bergsänger“.
