Herzlich willkommen zur Promotion an der TUBAF! Mit der Begrüßungsveranstaltung unterstützen wir Sie von Beginn an bei Ihrer wissenschaftlichen Arbeit. Die Veranstaltung hat Tradition in der GraFA und bereits vielen Promovierenden beim Einstieg Orientierung und Unterstützung gegeben, auf überfachliche Angebote und Workshops hingewiesen und das Netzwerk der Teilnehmenden erweitert. Um den Anforderungen einer Promotion gerecht zu werden, bietet die Begrüßungsveranstaltung breite Unterstützung. Wir diskutieren mit Ihnen die vielfältigen Anforderungen, die im Rahmen der Promotion an Sie gestellt werden und besprechen Strategien, diese Zeit gut für die künftige berufliche Entwicklung zu nutzen. Darüber hinaus lernen Sie Promovierende anderer Fakultäten kennen, die zeitgleich mit Ihnen die Absichtserklärung abgegeben haben, und kommen miteinander ins Gespräch.

Neben der Einführung in den Promotionsprozess hält Prof. Gari Walkowitz, Professur für Verhaltens- und Wirtschaftsethik, im Rahmen der Veranstaltung einen Workshop zu den Grundlagen Guter Wissenschaftlicher Praxis, welche einen grundlegenden Baustein für die Qualität wissenschaftlicher Arbeiten darstellt.

Welcome to your doctoral studies at TUBAF! With this welcome event, we support you in your academic work right from the start. The workshop has a long tradition at GraFA and has already provided many doctoral candidates with guidance and support as they begin their work, pointed them toward interdisciplinary offerings and workshops, and expanded the network of participants. The welcome event offers broad support to help you meet the requirements of a doctoral program. We will discuss with you the diverse requirements that will be placed on you during your doctoral work and talk about strategies for making good use of this time for your future professional development. In addition, you will meet doctoral candidates from other faculties who have submitted their letters of intent at the same time as you and have the opportunity to network.

In addition to introducing the doctoral process, Prof. Gari Walkowitz, Professor of Behavioral and Business Ethics, will hold a workshop on the basics of good scientific practice, which is a fundamental building block for the quality of scientific work.
