IAM invited to the 13th Symposium on Mineral Processing

View into the municipal hall during the Freiberg Symposium on Mineral Processing 2018In March 2018, numerous manufacturers, users, consultants, and research representatives gathered in the municipal hall for the traditional, annual Freiberg conference to present and discuss the latest developments in the field of mineral processing machines and technologies.

Another focus of the symposium was to increase the attractiveness of studying at the Institute of Mineral Processing Machines (IAM), which is always of particular concern to all participants in order to meet the growing demand for engineers in this field. On a related note, Prof. Lieberwirth reported about a field trip to Bulgaria last year, where he, together with 10 students at the institute, had the opportunity to explore copper and gold mines, which are among Europe’s largest and most modern ones.

The next colloquium will take place from 07 to 08 March 2019.
