Ab dem 1. Januar 2024 wird das Angebot an Verlagsverträgen mit Open-Access-Publikationsoptionen für die Angehörigen der TU Bergakademie Freiberg wieder erweitert:
- ACM OPEN: Im Rahmen eines 3-Jahresvertrages bei der Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) können Forschende die Möglichkeit nutzen, ihre wissenschaftlichen Artikel im Open Access zu veröffentlichen. Die Kosten, die für diese Veröffentlichungen entstehen, werden ab dem Jahr 2024 durch diesen Vertrag übernommen. Mitglieder der TU Bergakademie Freiberg können somit kostenfrei in allen im Vertrag enthaltenen Zeitschriften Open Access veröffentlichen. Eine Liste der Zeitschriften finden Sie hier.
- Frontiers: Im Zeitraum 2024-2026 nimmt die TUBAF an einem umfassenden Konsortialvertrag teil. Berechtigte Autorinnen und Autoren können unbegrenzt in allen Frontiers Journals Open Access publizieren. Bitte unbedingt die tu-freiberg.de – Mailadresse verwenden, darüber ordnet der Verlag Ihre Publikation dem TUBAF-Vertrag zu und die Finanzierung kann über die Universitätsbibliothek erfolgen.
- RSC: Ab 2024 nimmt die TUBAF am neuen 4-jährigen RSC Platinum Modell der Royal Society of Chemistry teil. Das bedeutet, die Publikationskomponente gilt ab sofort auch für die goldenen RSC-Journals. Corresponding Authors der TUBAF können nun in hybriden und Gold-OA-Zeitschriften (Titelliste) mit der Standardlizenz CC-BY Open Access ohne autorenseitige Kosten publizieren. Die Zuordnung zur teilnehmenden Einrichtung erfolgt über Ihre Email-Adresse, bitte verwenden Sie daher zwingend Ihre institutionelle Email (.tu-freiberg.de) bei der Einreichung. Die Royal Society of Chemistry hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, ab 2028 alle RSC-eigenen Zeitschriften vollständig Open Access zu publizieren. Infos auch im Author Workflow Flyer.
- Trans Tech Publications/Scientific.Net: Im Rahmen eines Read & Publish-Vertrags (2024-2026) können Angehörige der TUBAF auf 15 Titel lesend zugreifen (davon 13 Zeitschriften und 2 Konferenzbände) und kostenfrei in 17 Publikationsorganen des Anbieters (15 hybride und 2 Gold-OA-Publikationen) veröffentlichen.
Hinweis zu ACS: Bitte beachten, dass die neue Gebühr ADC (article development charge) von ACS für eine embargofreie grüne Open-Access-Option nicht Bestandteil des Vertrages und auch nicht aus dem Publikationsfonds finanzierbar ist.

From January 1, 2024, the range of publishing contracts with open access publishing options for members of TU Bergakademie will be expanded again:
- ACM OPEN: As part of a 3-year contract with the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), researchers can take advantage of the opportunity to publish their scientific articles in open access. The costs incurred for these publications will be covered by this contract from 2024. Members of TU Bergakademie Freiberg can therefore publish Open Access free of charge in all journals included in the contract. A list of journals can be found here.
- Frontiers: In the period 2024-2026, TUBAF is participating in a comprehensive consortium agreement. Eligible authors can publish Open Access in all Frontiers journals without restriction. Please be sure to use the tu-freiberg.de e-mail address, the publisher will assign your publication to the TUBAF contract and funding can be provided by the University Library.
- RSC: From 2024, TUBAF will participate in the new 4-year RSC Platinum model of the Royal Society of Chemistry. This means that the publication component will now also apply to the gold RSC journals. Corresponding authors of TUBAF can now publish in hybrid and gold OA journals (title list) with the standard CC-BY Open Access license at no cost to the author. The assignment to the participating institution is done via your email address, so please make sure to use your institutional email (.tu-freiberg.de) when submitting. The Royal Society of Chemistry has set itself the goal of publishing all RSC-owned journals fully Open Access from 2028. Information also in the Author Workflow Flyer.
- Scientific.Net: As part of a Read & Publish contract (2024-2026), members of TUBAF have read access to 15 titles (including 13 journals and 2 conference proceedings) and can publish free of charge in 17 of the provider’s publication organs (15 hybrid and 2 Gold OA publications).
Note on ACS: Please note that the new ADC (article development charge) from ACS for an embargo-free green OA option is not part of the contract and cannot be financed from the publication fund.
