Course content
We are back to attending conventions and conferences, face-to-face meetings are on the agenda again after a long lean period due to the pandemic situation. This introductory workshop will shed light on four different aspects vital for a successful poster presentation.
First, we will address the essential issue of transporting your message. What is the mission you have? How do you work out the clear benefit, the visitors of the convention will get when they approach you? Next, we will practice how you convincingly phrase your story, i.e., how do you “pack” information into an elevator pitch. Also, this course will address main issues of the visualization of your posters and will name dos and don’ts of visualizing information. Finally, attention will be given to the “acting” out, since presenting a poster is an intense dialogue form. How can you be proactive and get people interested in your poster?
Feel invited to bring your posters and/or ideas along.
